The tragic event unfolded in the Dandeli rural area of Karnataka state, leaving the community in shock.
Details of the Tragedy
The heartbreaking incident occurred after an argument between Savitri, 26, and her husband, Ravi Kumar, 27. Neighbors raised the alarm, prompting a swift response from law enforcement. The search effort, which included divers, led to the discovery of the child’s body in the canal the following morning. Authorities noted severe injuries on the body, with one hand missing, presumably consumed by a crocodile.
