French police are on the lookout for armed robbers who targeted a prestigious jewelry store on a luxurious street in Paris. Reports suggest that the robbers aimed for the renowned Harry Winston boutique, famously known as the “Jeweler to the Stars.”
Robbery Details
The daring robbers arrived and fled the scene on motorbikes, causing a stir by firing a shot outside the store. Thankfully, no casualties were reported during the incident. Video footage captured by BFM-TV displayed individuals dressed in black speeding away on two motorbikes.
Investigation and Previous Incidents
Upon reaching out to the store, a worker confirmed the robbery but refused to divulge further details. The police swiftly cordoned off the area, conducting thorough investigations while the Paris prosecutor’s office monitored the situation. This is not the first time the high-end boutique has fallen victim to such criminal activities, as a similar incident took place in 2008 where millions worth of valuables were stolen.
Authorities have yet to confirm the exact value of the stolen items or if the robbers successfully made away with any jewels.
