Turner admitted that the producers suggested it would make for great television, but they failed to consider the impact it would have on Nist. “It was so mean!” Nist’s reaction to the proposal echoed Ripa’s sentiments.

“We initially considered Charleston as a great area to settle down,” Turner revealed. “But after visiting New Jersey a few times, I’ve fallen in love with that area too. We now have two regions to explore for our house hunting, which doubles the fun.”
Turner also praised Nist’s home state, noting its stunning natural beauty and proximity to the ocean.

The couple’s wedding date has been set for January 4th, and it promises to be a milestone event for the franchise. Dubbed the “Golden Wedding,” it will feature the first televised live nuptials in a decade.

During the “After the Final Rose” special, the show surprised the couple with a trip to their dream honeymoon destination, Italy. Turner excitedly shared their plans, stating, “We can use that as our honeymoon trip because we are going to get married. We’re going to do it as quickly as we can because at our age, we don’t have a lot of time to waste. As quickly as we can put together a wedding plan, we’re getting married!”
