Houston Texans Wide Receiver Sustains Minor Injuries
Tank Dell, a wide receiver for the NFL’s Houston Texans, was involved in a shooting incident in Sanford, Florida on Sunday, as confirmed by the team. Dell, aged 24, suffered minor injuries but is reportedly in good spirits following the incident.
The team shared a statement on X (formerly known as Twitter), informing that Dell has been discharged from the hospital. The statement also requested privacy for Dell and his family during this time, expressing thoughts and prayers for all affected by the incident.
Multiple Injuries in Sanford Shooting
CNN affiliate WESH reported that Dell was among those injured in a shooting at a local bar and restaurant in Sanford. The chaotic situation ensued after a fistfight, leading a teenager to open fire into a crowd with a handgun. Fortunately, a quick-acting security guard managed to subdue and disarm the suspect.
While the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office has not confirmed the victims’ identities, at least 10 individuals were wounded and hospitalized due to the incident. An arrest report indicates that a 16-year-old has been apprehended in connection with the shooting.
Dell, a native of Daytona Beach, Florida, hails from a place approximately 40 miles away from the site of the unfortunate event in Sanford.
