However, she initially brushed it off, jokingly saying, “But I’m not there yet!” It took two years for her to realize the importance of addressing the issue and deciding to do something about it.
A Healthy Mix and Doctor’s Advice
Clarkson credited her weight loss to following her doctor’s advice and adopting a healthier diet. She shared that she eats a balanced mix of food and has been particularly focused on a protein diet, which has proven beneficial for her. However, being a self-proclaimed Texas girl, she humorously apologized to vegetarians for her love of meat.
Active Living in the Big City
Now based in New York City, Clarkson leads an active lifestyle to maintain her health. She revealed that walking in the city is quite the workout and shared her newfound interest in infrared saunas and cold plunges. She also enjoys spending time with her children, taking them for walks in the park, indulging in ice cream, engaging in activities like making slime, and visiting the museum.
A Fresh Start and Prioritizing Mental Health
After going through a difficult divorce, Clarkson made the decision to leave Los Angeles and start anew. She explained that she had been unhappy in LA for several years and felt the need for a fresh start. Clarkson had discussions with NBC, the network that airs her talk show, “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” about her mental health and her children’s well-being, ultimately leading to her relocation.
